Darling and Her Mini Cooper

Nope, she does not have a Mini Cooper yet. Don't get carried away by the title. Hahahaha ... She has been dreaming about it eversince the day she lays eyes on that baby. The reason I am saying that she is dreaming is solely because neither she has the ability to own one nor I have the financial capability to buy her one. Too bad huh :(

With her raving and ranting about that dream car of hers for some time, I also got to know that a few of her friends are actually having the same affection. What the hell are you girls with Mini Cooper?!?! Hahahaha ... oh well, it's really a good looking car. What can I say. It's cute, sporty, stylish, eye-candy-ish, lovable .. blah blah blah :D ...... It's just so many positive comments that people are giving that baby today!

Oh yea! It's easy to park! I still remember my darling making this remark to support the reasons why she likes this ride so much (She is bad in side-parking by the way :P). Then, I went like "what happen to your Myvi? It's smaller and easier to park too!" Hahaha ... and then she argued: "Mini is a small car too, wider body which gives more stability, a little bigger than Myvi which gives us more space to shove our luggage, a lot more powerful than Myvi, and this and that ... " Imagine what a person can do when he or she is really wanting something ... She can even be technical about it! hahaha ... By the way, I was just giving her a hard time. I know she loves it very much and hopefully I will make enough dough to get her that baby one day, if not, soon! :D

Hmm, maybe I should just take her and pay a visit to the dealership this time when I go back to Malaysia. Get a test drive and a little adrenaline rush ... hahahah :P It would be really cool.

Papa! Mama!

This happens to every couple right after their marriage or more precisely, their registration. I believe. They have to change the way they address each others' parents right away!!! Hahaha :P Papa ... Mama ... That is so unusual, feels weird and if possible, can we just go back to calling uncle and aunty instead? Hahaha ...:P
So there you go! It happens to both of us as well. We can't really escape that reality, can we? :D Gotta deal it. I believe all of us who are new to the club have our own way to sort things out in the marriage and this is part of the deal. One way or another, we have to come up with a solution that would enable us to comfortably address the old folks. Well for starters, embarassment is inevitable. It will just ease off as time goes by. Anyway, it has to be fast because I am about to go back to Malaysia and celebrate Chinese New Year with all of them and when is more suitable for us to start calling papa and mama right? Haha .. and not forgetting, if ever one of us is beginnning a line with the uncle .. aunty .. addresses in front of relatives, they are not going to let us get away from the humorous complaints :P Woooo .. scary times ahead baby!
Darling and I have been having conversation on the phone every now and then eversince our registration, chatting about how awkward to address my parents that way and vice versa and how we are going to deal with it. Since then, there is still no apparent solution. Hahaha .. so I guess, for me at least, I am going to "act" natural when meeting and greeting them during the CNY visits. Hahaha .. that is the best solution that I can come up with! I don't know about you baby, but I am taking this way to papa mama land. Hahaha .. :D
Wish us luck! Hey .. who says starting a family is easy? Deal with this first! :D

Just Registered!!!

Before I started writing, I can't help but wonder what I should put in the title column. Should it be Just Married? Should it be Just Engaged? Or should it be Just Registered? Since I am not exactly sure what the first 2 really defined as, be it in Chinese tradition or common practices around the world, Just Registered it is! Hahaha .. it is the easiest way out cos it is straight to the point :P Though it sounds a little weird.

Yeap, that was what happened on 14th of December 2008. We have just registered to be each others' spouse. This day also marks our 8th anniversary together, 8 long wonderful years of bumpy rides :P And what is more special than celebrating it with having a blog of our life together! Haha! Hence, here I am writing something to fire it up :D

All these years have been really hard for both of us, especially to spend time together. Both of us are always far apart and the phone is the only thing that is keeping us connected consistently. God Bless the Technology! Hahaha. Well, there are other tools as well, MSN, Skype, email, letter writing, Netmeeting etc etc, but none of these are as good as the connection we get by talking on the phone. Though we do not have any physical connection, this is just as good as it can ever be.

Getting registered is as good as getting married for me. I am really glad that we have done it! The feeling is fresh and unfamiliar. I guess this spells the unknown ground for me but it's too late to turn back now .. Hahahaha :D Having said that, I still feel good about it. This is the first time I am having a different sense of belonging, a stronger one actually. And what comes with it? More responsibilities! I can feel that now! It's heavy and it will only get heavier in times but I know now that there is always someone there to share that burden with me. For that, I guess I am blessed and I am loved! :)
